One University. One Mission. One Magazine.

Health Sciences Magazine cover

At UT Health Sciences, our story has never been more compelling — or more important to tell well. Every day, across our six colleges, we are educating the next generation of health care professionals, advancing discovery, and improving the lives of Tennesseans. Central to this work is our shared mission: to create Healthier Tennesseans and Thriving Communities across our state. At its heart, this mission is about connection — connecting education to practice, research to real-world impact, and people to the care and knowledge they need to live healthier lives. That is why we are moving from six separate college magazines to a single, unified university publication.

This change is about strengthening the connections that define us. A unified magazine allows us to present a clearer, more cohesive narrative about who we are and what we stand for. It enables us to connect the remarkable work happening across disciplines, highlighting how collaboration fuels our approach to health sciences education, research, and care in the service of improving health outcomes for the people and communities we serve.

In today’s environment, where attention is limited and competition for recognition is intense, strong connections are essential. A clear and unified brand helps us connect more effectively with our audiences, students, faculty, alumni, partners, and communities — while ensuring that every story reinforces the broader impact of our university. By telling one story, we elevate the visibility of every college, every program, and every individual who contributes to our mission.

Together, we become more than the sum of our parts. We become a connected institution, advancing a shared vision of a healthier Tennessee and stronger, more resilient communities.

This new magazine will celebrate the excellence you know so well, while deepening the connections that bind us — across colleges, across disciplines, and across the state. It is an invitation to see our university not as six distinct entities, but as one powerful, purpose-driven institution — working together to create a healthier future for Tennessee.
